Industrial applications involving many potential 3D applications require a modular UV concept which can be adapted to the requirements of the objects to be coated.

The MBS^®-3D provides the option of using a UV lamp to irradiate simultaneously the top and all four sides of 3D objects up to 150 x 150 x 150 mm in size.

The approach of being able to expose and simultaneously cure 3D parts with one UV lamp (instead of multiple lamp systems) results in the following benefits for the user:

• Considerably reduced investment in the UV system, electricity costs and spare part costs, as well as reduced hourly usage of the machine.

• It has been possible to increase the intensity of irradiation further and/or even out the distribution of radiation.

• The setting of the MBS^®-3D is easy to simulate on computer, allowing it to be adapted quickly to new component geometries.
